Have a Look at this Huge Screen on this Apple iMac Desktop Computer!!!

Wow, haven’t things changed. For us older ciizens the sight of this 1980's state of the art Apple Macintosh was surely a sight to behold. Right up there with Star Wars and Star Trek for design and speed. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on one of these beauties. Then Apple seemed to disappear under the weight of the Windows Based PC juggernaut. Over time I was swept up with Windows until finally owning a unit with the infamous Vista.

Strangely enough it was only when my Mum and Dad were finally joining the 21t century and purchasing their own computer some 12 months ago I was reunited with a Mac. They bought a Apple Mac Book and after using it for only a short time I realized this is how a computer should really run. It was quick and easy to use. I loved it.

Since that time I have become more and more interested in these special computers to the stage I have recently purchased an Apple MB421LL/A iMac Desktop with a 24’ Screen. This desktop is one sexy looking unit. It has great multimedia potential, runs extremely quickly and is just so easy to use. The screen is huge and the entire processing unit is part of the screen design, bring on the new Star Trek Movie I’m up to date again.

Buyer's Guide to Mac's
Below, are my personal recommendations. These models are not the least expensive models at each level, but rather the ones I feel offer you the best value.

The models we recommend below are models we believe offer you the most value for your purchase.

1) The Mac Mini: what a great little machine! This is a very good option for someone who already has a Keyboard, monitor and mouse and is looking to only spend a little money.

2) The iMac. This unit includes a monitor and all peripherals. It is a great computer and I highly recommend it for those looking for a desktop machine. If you are looking at buying a desktop for a home user and maybe small office application, this unit would certainly be a good fit. A great computer.

3) The Macbook: DITTO this id the laptop version of the iMac. If I was looking at buying a laptop for an average home user, this would be it.

Pro models. These models are for people who need power for various applications or you simply want the most powerful Apple machines on the market. These units are espeically good for editing photos or video.

4) The Macbook Pro: This is a very powerful laptop. It is the computer I am typing this on and the one I use for hours most days. I love it. Whether I need to run Windows for certain school-related tasks, composite photos for the yearbook, edit a video project, or author a professional quality DVD, this is the machine I am likely using.

5) The Mac Pro: The ultimate Mac. It can do anything you want. This is the machine sitting on my desk at work. Orders of magnitude better than every other Mac. If you want the most powerful computer you can buy this is the model for you.

Finally, the Macbook Air. In my opinion, this is a niche product. It is an incredible design: very thin and elegant. However to achieve this feat, Apple chose to leave out a built in CD/DVD player and Firewire ports, and includes only one USB port. In a sense, it is a crippled machine with these omissions, however, what is acheived is a very light, very thin machine. Here is my recommendation:

6) MacBook Air: It is a machine I only recommend to a certain subset of users: the traveler. If you are someone who lives on the road a would like the option of an ultralight laptop (3 lbs) and are willing to give up a few standard (but important) features (firewire and built-in optical drive to start), then this is for you. Otherwise, look to the Macbook or MBPro
